Mylisir is a speculative project — a concept for an extractor of medicinal substances that explores possible solutions to the current overuse of pharmaceuticals, a problem which, according to the WHO, could cause up to 10 million deaths by 2050.

This project draws inspiration from ancient methods of preparing medicine, carried out entirely through natural processes.

Mylisir contains an internal filter that extracts active ingredients directly from plant roots, delivering them to the user in the form of a liquid collected at the base of the object.

The shape of this product resembles that of a pill containing a natural element inside. This strong contrast is meant to clearly express the project’s concept.

Today, medicine is often taken carelessly. Mylisir aims to highlight this issue and re-educate people toward a more conscious use of the substances we consume.
